I was born and raised in the UK and discovered photography at age twelve.  After assisting several well known photographers in London including Rankin, I moved to Tokyo where I started my career working in fashion photography which gradually transitioned to portraiture where I found my groove.

People fascinate me and as such a lot of my work these days involves people in one way or another.  I’ve photographed literally thousands of people, but I remember each and every one of them as if it were yesterday.

I love being outdoors and I actively go camping, kayaking, hiking, free-diving, spear-fishing, scuba-diving or paddle-boarding every chance I get.  At first it was just a way to escape the city, but now it’s a part of my work too.  I have a Facebook page dedicated to showcasing the hidden outdoor gems of Japan.

Mostly I’m hired for portraiture and lifestyle assignments but my interests don’t have any limits so whether you’re an art director, an editor or a regular everyday person and you have a project in mind, just get in touch and let’s start a conversation.
